Whether the answer is yes or no you should back up everything so no matter what the outcome you dont lose any data.

Yeah you should always make back up's, CF cards don't last forever.
And no I've never lost any memory ..........In my MPC that is , wish my brain could say the same.

actually I believe the answer is yes on this one.
I think that JJ OS might use up a bit more of the RAM than Akai OS does on a blank startup, nothing extreme though
