8 Para Out Expansion Board

I've searched all over the internet and have not found a good article or explanation on the use of the 8 output expansion board for the MPC 2000 Classic (expansion boarded was installed) or any of the other models.

Can someone shed some light on the use to help me understand it's function?

yeah...i read that and navigated around on my mpc...

question: once in mixer mode and i have a channel select (take the first one) then i toggle up to the very top where i can select 12 34 56 78... let's say i select 12...does this mean i will have the sound coming out of para out 1 and 2 of the expansion board?

if so, can i isolate the selected channel to send out port 1 and use port 2 for a separate sound?

it makes it easy to mix after ... especially if you got an 8 in interface to the DAW... you could run your sh!t onto all seperate tracks on cubase or what ever.

Also, if you are creative... you can mess around with that aswell. Do stuff to what's comming out of each output.

here's another issue...i have the effects board installed as well...but i'm noticing i cannot assign an effect to an individual out on my expansion board...but it i unplug from the 8 output and plug into the stereo out or phones...the effects work.

any clues on this one?

This is a feature only available on latest MPCs. if I recall correctly.

Lampdog since u have been doing this so long could u tell me how i should track out. Someone mentioned sending them all out mono, but i dont know how i would then be able to make the sounds come out of both speakers in the daw.

Also from what i understand stereo has a middle pan while mono will only come out of left or right speaker, so even if i combine two mono sounds to come out both speakers it won't be the same as stereo? Isn't it preferable to have stereo recordings rather than mono recordings and then combining them?
