Weird MPC v. Pad/Sound issues

I'm having some odd occurrences on my MPC 1000. Actually more like two.

For some reason sometimes my MPC will randomly just play one of the pads out of the blue, without me pressing anything or putting pressure on the faceplate. The other issue is sometimes all the pads will play the same sound, but after hitting them a few times they return to normal.

I never can recreate the issues, they all occur randomly.

has anyone else experienced this or possibly knows what the issue could be?

a pad is stuck. figure out which one has the sound that is playing randomly...if its more than one then they're both stuck. i'm guessing you hear the same pads played randomly as you hear play when you're playing other pads and they play back the same sounds. replace the offending pads.
