"Ex to Next Girl" drums

Anyone have any idea where Primo took the drums from? They seem to have been sampled (with a lot of decay) by De La on the Bizness. I've always liked these drums but never knew the original source and it's sort of eating at me. Paris even threw Primo's own loop at the end of his "Breaks and Beats" CD years ago.

Any ideas?

Not really since that's just the horns sample.

Pretty sure the horns and drums that you hear at the beginning of the track are from Caesar Frazier's "Funk it Down" of the album "75". The drums in the stripped down verse sections I assume are programmed, but can't be sure.

Also, to me, the drums on "The bizness" don't sound too much the same...

Thats what I figured why not take the drums too, if you gon take the horn.

But on another note, The sample from Consipiracy, was Eazy-e's fathers band!

Just listened to it. I don't think that's the source of the drums.

I don't think The Bizness drums are the same as the drums used in Ex Girl To Next Girl. I'm A & B'ing the songs right now. The snare on The Bizness does have a much shorter decay, but even after taking that into consideration they still don't sound the same to me. Similar pattern though.

It's going to be hard tracking down those drums cause they sound like they were one shots chopped out of a break, and they don't really have a very unique sound like say one shots chopped out of the Apache break would.

Would be easier if it was a drum loop.

The Ex to Next drums start to sound like The Bizness when you turn the decay the whole way up and speed them up as well; add some reverb and it seems real close. That's one of my favorite kits but I feel so dirty jacking them from Primo considering I try to never do stuff like that.
