transfering sounds from PC to MPC via CF Card

whats up? im sure this has been asked but i tried searching with no luck.


i want to transfer some kits i have on the pc to CF card. the cf card is hooked up to the pc via card reader thats built in my printer. when i try to transfer the files a "write-protected, disable write protection yada yada" error comes up. how do i disable it? there is no lock-slot on the big CF cards... anybody?

Just connect the MPC to the PC and call it a day.

Are you sure the CF slot in the printer is set up to allow you to write to it from the PC? I thought those were for reading pictures (jpeg files) into the printer memory. I'd suggest reading the printer manual and making sure the printer has that capability. It may be a read-only deal and that is why you are getting that message. If you cannot use that CF slot, USB card readers are very inexpensive.

To be honest I've never seen anyone ask how to transfer MPC files via a card reader in their printer before, so well done for that
