Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

ok... test this

put a 120 bpm (or whatever but it's better cause u feel more fast and you notice it better)

record a kick and a snare toghether every 1/8... 2 bars.... total of 8 kick+snare

now listen... does they all sound equal?? if yes go to step edit, if not go to step edit...

if u listen some couple of kick+snare sound different get a look... you'll notice that it depends on the step edit on whick sound trigger for first.....

if u listen everything the same... try to delete and insert the sound you delete in order to change the "order"... and then press play, you'll notice a different sound...

don't know if this is a trick or a bug... is if a trick how can i eliminate it???

hope u understand, i don't have the best english in the world

yeah it depends on which pad u press for first.....

can i change this? i mean there's a function that do this? i try with an mpc 2500 and it seems it doens't take care of which pad is press for first...

let me know lampdog i know u know the rulez

I think it's a bug.

ook...

it's ok for hip hop...maybe it add a certain feel....
but litterally no good for a straught 4/4.... perfect for broken beat however...

for the 4/4 maybe it's cool for kick and snare to alter the sound and ive that "train" groove.... let's see....

thanx lampdog
