3000

All this talk of the mpc 3k makes me wanna get one.
-I have a 4k, would there be any point to get a 3k. everybody keeps talkin about roger lynn and how the pads feel great and so on. I think if i copped one i wouln't like it, all that loading and disks and shit. but i can't say cause i never **** with one.
-If u got one or both let know how u feel cuz it's startin to get tempting. -Peace_

I had a 3000 and upgraded to the 4000. More features... I am happy with it. The pads don't feel different. The 3000 is solid though. I would'nt go back.

Total agreement, don't go back man. The 3000 IS a great and tempting machine, but I'll admit that if I had a choice for a free MPC 4000 or 3000...I'd go with the 4000. I think...

Wa..? Pads are the same on 3k and 4k..?! If the pads from the 3k are the same as on the 60, the 4k and the 3k defenitly difference in pads! 4k has plastic ones, 3k has rubber ones. And they are just way better!! You guys have to admit this! It was the first major difference I noticed going from a 60 to a 4k!!

The 60 and 3000 are more solid to, this 4k reminds me at me Fisherprice toys..

To topic starter: Try a 60 and compare both. If you like the 60, sell it and buy yourself a 3000.

What do you guys mean when you say that the 60 and 3k are more solid? And is that the only big difference between the 3k and the 4k?

But off course, its you that makes the music, not the box. If you cant make beats on a 4k, you wont make them on a 3k and vica versa..

check the 3000 forum, I was thinking about at least trying the mpc4000 but, well, you can read about what happen......

ikke - I've looked up various reviews on both machines from all over, and they all praise it. I was hoping maybe you, or someone else could explain what their core differences are. Plus - you never explained what "more solid" meant.
