Starter could do with advice

Looking to start beat making, been inspired largely by DJ Shadow, but also all the beatmaking videos on youtube.

Have decided I want to buy an mpc, but am undecided between the mpc 500 and 1000.

I know others have asked this but am having difficulty deciding. Am new to this forum so please bare with me.

If I got the 500 I would use it with recycle, to chop up my samples. As a starter to beatmaking I wonder if this would be best.

However, I am leaning towards the 1000, especially as I have found one new for a good price. If I got the 1000 I would like to use it solely with a turntable, ie. without having to use software on a computer.

I am unsure which would be a better option, and would appreciate any advice.

Haven't read them, but they are right there on the top of the thread list so they weren't hard to find. Do a little homework and search next time though homie.
