Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I just switch to an xl from a 60 , on the 60 when you go to the individual outs screen you can have pad one going to one and pad two going to out 2 and go from there. I only get 12 and i try to pan and it still does not work. How do i really get one pad to go out one out.

It has to be Mono otherwise your taken up 2 outs obviously since it's Stereo.

That's because that sample you are using is a stereo sample.

2kxl manual says:

stereo samples will take up stereo outs 1/2 - 3/4 - 5/6 or 7/8.

mono samples will take up individual outs 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 or 8.

Like I said, if your samples are STEREO then you can only choose STEREO outs tied together.

if your samples are ACTUALLY mono then you can choose 1-8 outs.

Check your samples properties THOROUGHLY.

yeah you know he's skipping a step if he got a stereo sample in the 60... try sampling the sound from your computer into the input.

oh shit sorry.. i misread. i thought he switched from an xl to a 60... but the concept is the same.

yeah in te XL when you convert it just copies the stereo sound and makes two aditional mono sounds... so you have to then delete the original.. but you prolly noticed that.
