Is that possible in MPC 1000 with OEM OS or JJ?

I currently have MPC 500 and I'm thinking about upgrading to 1000.

Currently to string various sequences I have to use the song mode and manually input the number.

Is it possible to create various sequences (like fill ins, various drum tracks, MIDI loops) and assign them to pads.

Then record a full song sequence by triggering the various sequences/loops live?

Thanks.

nope. you can't record real-time sequence changes into another sequence. you CAN play sequences (fill, a bar of sequence 1, 2 bars of sequence 3, a fill, and then 6 bars of sequence one for example) on the fly however (which you may be able to do on the 500... i'm not familiar with it really). its a bummer. however, if you use an external daw, then you can record these live sequence changes by putting the mpc into "program change to seq change" mode. in which case you just record your program changes in the daw and then send them to the mpc.

is there any way to automate mutes in mpc 1000 ?

or what about creating loops/phrases assignable to touch pads?

DAW - digital audio workstation ( cubase, reason, pro tools, fl studio, etc... )

yeah, but you can't record what you playback as another sequence.
