is my mpc alive or dead?

hey watsup aspiring producers,i need yall help.my mpc is trippin.when i turned it on today it was askin me to load the os disk,which i did,it will try to do it then nuthin happens.it just stays at LOADING MPC2000xl bin????WHATS WRONG WITH MY SHIT???

bin file is the operating system .. Try updating or reinstalling your OS. Not sure.

thats wat i did,i went on akai to download the os.my mpc never did this before.i alaways thought that the os for the xl was already in the mp?do i need a new floppy drive or is my mpc fried?

For some reason this has been a problem with a few MPC2000XL users on this forum.

corrupted BIN file i presume. Gotta make sure it downloads the full file.
