it works
got a couple 2.5 inch 20 to 60 gig harddrives that work perfect with my 4k
also got one bigger one (250 gig) that also works with the 4k.

which is why you must send letters to JJ begging him to create an OS for the 4k. Even tell him how much money you'd be willing to pay for it!
There are a LOT less 4k's then there are 1000's out there....

That's not going to help any... They don't' have the source code. You need to email the English team that created
the 4k's OS and beg them. They wanted to do an update but Akai wouldn't let them, and they'll probably won't
do it, due to not wanting to get into the legal quagmire of using another company's OS source code to create your
new OS from. Of course, they have enough knowledge to completely write it from scratch, but I'm guessing they
don't think it will be profitable enough to justify the effort.
There are a LOT less 4k's then there are 1000's out there....
