The TR-808 doesn't (per se) have a MIDI port. It's a "DIN-Sync" port... sort of like MIDI but uses a different pin out. Remember, the 808 was out way before MIDI came into play.
Like Feline1 said he got his Sync port modified. try gogle for a MIDI-Cv converter.

well I hope I dont run into any problems once my tr505 arrives.

I saw one and desiced to splurge and buy it.

Tr505s sound punchy ... well worth the cash 12bit and loud ... no tuning or leveling though.. only *accent + 1out.. the snare & hatz are 909ish ..nice!


But seeing the kits works with no problems with you feline
and all other users aswell.....we'll cheek the wiring again this weekend ...

Yeah and a fairly simple sequencer also. It doesn't get much better then that for the price. I am not a huge fan of the old boss drum machines, and the 505 seems to be a love or hate thing for most people. I will give my opinion once I give it a proper go with my current equipment.
