Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

hi there

whenever i hit the pad ,i got to keep pressing it or else the samples stops. :x
with the 2000 i did not have this problem, i just had to hit it for 1 sec and the whole sample would play.
can anybody please tel me how to fix this if possible.
(step for step please i'm new to the 4000)
if there is allready a topic regarding this please link me up.
i have searched for an hour now but can't seem find it.

During that one hour you couldn't find the answer in the manual?

Here is a hint Pg. 90 of the manual. :roll: I found that within a minute.

i don't have the manual, and my pc freezes if i open pdf files

the 10 sec u used to post your rtfm reply... you could have wrote ... set sample to "one shot" in program>zone

Use that and your pc will open pdf file fine, uninstall that horrific adobe pdf reader.

Or, there's a window where you can set the "release" on what ever pad the sample is on all the way up. Excuse me for not being specific, I'm not in front of my 4000, I'm out of town. If I were right by it, I could navigate through it quick. I know it's under the "Program" menu...

Try a different PDF reader, or use Google's PDF to HTML conversion..

Then you could try re-installing PDF file reader program. Most likely that will fix the problem.
