Is it possible to separate RCA cable "snakes"?

Hey this question might sound stupid but this is my firtst time buying RCA cables. I wanna know if its possible to separate snakes [RCA to 1/4" Jacks for example]. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2516742493&category=23783

Can someone clear this up for me please becuase my setup is kinda scattered and i wanna know if it is possible to separate a "snake". Thanks for your time.

I would imagine so - if it's basically 8 separate wires encased in a single rubber holder then just remove the holder. If the rubber casing is moulded into the wires then no, probably not. I suggest emailing the guy and asking him if he thinks it's possible.
