Nice work there. I take that you used a combo of features such as the synth & on board efx.

Nope no synths.no computer software. no keyboard, just raw samples in the box you just gotta know where an when to hit them. i been on the mpc's from since the 3000 came out so it kinda comes natural.

i dont beleive in loops or sampling piece of a song an making a beat i make stuff from scratch (just the click)

thats why they call me MPC Professional

Cool, then you are a rare breed around here. So you understand key sigs & progressions and all that I assume. I too like to construct my compos from stratch as well, note for note. However, I limit myself from sampling at all if I can help it. Usually it's 0% samples most of the time for me.

It gives you a sense of originality, you being you and not copying someone elses work. Anyhow, keep at it my friend, and keep working your magic. :)

Yeah, the song is pretty nice.... im sure anyone can make something nice if they work at a certain pace. Its funny to me cause i been using the 3000(all last week) since the 90's, and I can fly thru and make a nice track in no time. But the MPC 5000 still locks up on me when in hitting UNDO and trying to re-record. I personally know that it doesnt hold up at our pace when im working or others i know that have even tried to put in work on it.

but anyway, nice song

That s really weird man, i never had any freeze when using the undo & record button & trust me i use that a lot when jamming on the 5000

Can u give a step by step on how you get this freeze? i ll try to reproduce it..

Of course man it s the user ....There s no pb with the 5000

Nah, bro.... how is it the user on one machine when we got 4 MPC's around and all of em functioning properly, except the 5000(with the UNDO situation).

I reproduce it everytime i get to work on that machine heavily. You just make a sequence, undo, try it again about 3 or 4 times, and then when you hit record and play and start playing, it will just sit there in the middle of recording a sequence with a just the play and record buttons lit up, but you can still press the pads and get sounds.

I tried to reproduce it once again yesterday on my 5000 & didn t managed to

Could you give me an EXACT step by step on how to reproduce it ?

Here is how i proceed :

I created a sequence using record play, undid it, record play again, undid it : repeated the step more than 10 times

No bug here .....didn t managed to get it freeze
