mpc 1000 usb connection & pc problems

why doesnt my mpc 1000 usb connetions dont show on pc when i hook it up.all i hear is the usb connection but i dont see a mpc 1000 folder or icon when its connected,please help! thanks.

on the mpc screen it should show which media is being accessed. fc or hdd make sure its on the proper media

Make sure that when you connect the USB cable, that it's connected to the PC first, then to the MPC1000.

this happened to me as well. i just unplugged it from the pc, waited a sec, plugged it back in, new device found.

oh yeah will it show on my desk top the icons of the mpc 1000 folder?and how do i find its connected to my mpc? and can i find it on my mpc screen? sorry for the noob question please dont hate me...

once the mpc is connected to the pc...a mpc1000 disk folder will pop up...clik on it and ur samples shuld be in there or if u wnt to add samples thats where u would add them to, and as far as ur mpc go to MODE+LOAD(PAD2) and you'll see the USB which would be tab f4 on the mpc...clik on that and it will tell u if it's connected to ur pc or not!


and word yo i would suggest a mac..cheap if u take the time to look around!
