Feature Requests

Another feature that I liked on the MV was the "Search Zero Crossing" feature where during sample editing the machine would automatically search for the end points of a sample where the level would reach the zero point so you can truncate any unwanted silence or unwanted air.

So if you were chopping a drumbreak or a loop with clearly defined one shots when you chop up the sample into multiple one shots you could truncate each one shot so that the empty air at the ends of the samples would be lopped off. This would essentially save on RAM and storage space, since you won't be occupying your MPC's memory with empty air.

It would also be helpful in eliminating unwanted pops and clicks at the ends of samples in case you don't want to spend time zooming in to find the zero cross point and chopping it manually.

As well as the erase off tracks from the 2000xl, I am also missing the ability to name midi devices. I'd pay for both of those features.

Also what is the difference between direct record and audio tracks? (I did not use the akai OS for long so did not try it) I'd like to be able to record 32 bars of audio over a sequence that is only 8 bars and have the sequence loop 4 times (I know I can lengthen the sequence beforehand, but sometimes I like to freestyle unplanned without working out how long I need to record before I start)

Change track without having to stop sequencer, a PITA but I guess there must be a reason for it?
