Not Working

Today I went to make a beat, turned it on what do i get... all the lights, light up, and nothing appears on screen. I hope its nothing serious, but I have a feeling it is, so if someone could give me an idea of where i can get it repaired, cuz summer break starts in a week n I was plannin on makin beats everyday, n this is realllllllly pissin me off.

Damn... I feel for ya. I couldn't imagine how mad I would be if my mpc got **** up. I know that my local music center fix mpc's so you might want to call around to your local shops and see if they can fix it, or take a look at it. or call up akai directly, or check out their website to see if they can tell you if there are any akai authorized repair shops in your area.
How long did you have your mpc, and did you buy it used?

try adjusting the tint contrast on the mpc......maybe thats your problem....

Man dude, sux huh?.... I currently have the same problem. It happened before, but i let it rest for a couple days after having it on for a while, and it came back on, prompting me to insert my OS. Once the OS was loaded, i was able to operate it like this for a couple months, but now even this doesn't work. It would work everyday when i was in a slump, but now i've got all these ideas, and my **** won't work. Figures..... If a rest doesn't work, u might need some help from a pro.

yea man check the contrast. or you just may need a new screen. they burn out. it happens.

i thought i murked mine. i accidentally hit the wheel when i was holding shift to go to another screen, turned away. looked back, nothing. i was like uHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. but anyway. check that.

It's not like we have the Rochester NY phone book memorized. Try looking in your local yellow pages or try calling Akai Pro to get the name of a nearby repair center.
