barely on topic, I know, but I'm about to release an LP locally and I gotta make a decent looking cover, as much as I would rather not do (lazy). are there any programs that have layouts etc. for easily printing off covers to the right dimensions?

I find covers like that boring and uncreative, unless it's specifically breaks or whatever. but for actual rap albums, they give the impression, to me anyway, that the content will be uninteresting.

this is intended for the closest thing I could ever do to an album; it's gonna have me rapping over already used beats to make up for my rap skills, and acapellas over my own beats to make up for my production skills.

release an LP locally
how about stuff that will attract people from your area...see this is what people are missing with CD's the ARTISTRY involved in making a cover as well. records had many forms of releasing expression,
jus be creative !

Do you know any graphic artists? If not, are there any colleges in your area? I'd find a college kid with some skill and let him/her get some practice...even if they charge you a bit it's worth it if it comes out presentable. Remember: people are going to SEE your project before they hear it. To some that judge a book by its cover, this will determine if they listen or not.
