It always comes back around...

Hey guys,
I'm sort of a new member to this site, I almost check it daily to see the topics being discussed. The one question that will never cease has to do with where to find great samples, sample cd's, sounds etc. .
For the record, I am constantly on the lookout for new sound packages on the web. I would prefer to have all "singular" sounds on most of my productions, but there is no denying that when sampling the ambience and background sound/noises give your sequences a "feel" that can't be duplicated using standard sounds. Also, when sampling it's not always so easy to get that snare you like "cleanly" without picking up some unwanted artifacts. By the way I'm a former DJ my record collection is huge.
In todays hip hop, the snare is where its at. There are now up to three layers of sound making up that snare in almost every song, the others have handclaps stacked with reverb. I really don't want to spend much time matching those sounds, then shifting the timing, just to get a happning snare.
So now it's my turn to ask? What is the hottest package you ever purchased for drum sounds? I've heard of maybe a half dozen companies but who really has the tight s&!#.

I would delete it too just for condoning such indolence. C'mon guys. If you're going to make hiphop....SAMPLE your drums. Stop biting off of other peoples sound. Stop using pre-fabricated sample disks. Put forth great efforts and you will receive a musical gumball of fortune. hehehe-

Did expect the rip, but it's cool. I don't sample loops and because I don't produce just hip hop, I need clean single drum sounds. You hip hop gurus who preach sampling and its relationship to authentic sound and hip hop, please accept that fact that your way isn't the only way, find another thread to **** with or go sample something. Meanwhile if there are others who would like to share their knowledge about sounds in the mpc 3000 .snd format please share.
