so i cut up a whole bunch of samples in ableton with the intent to convert them to .snd files and put them on a floppy my 60II (running 3.11) can read. it sounded simple enough. all my audio-editing software is on my laptop, which doesn't have a floppy drive, so instead i just popped the finished .snd files onto a flash drive and took them over to my old dell, which is running 98. after two hours of screwing around and realizing that it wasn't going to accept the flash drive, i emailed the files to myself and downloaded them onto the old computer. okay, now it's go time, i thought. i just gotta put these on the floppy and it's on! to my horror, i realized then that my 60 wasn't going to read floppies formatted by my computer, and my computer wasn't going to write to floppies formatted by my 60 (i'm using HD flops, by the way, for lack of DDS). okay, that's fine, so i just downloaded MPC Editor. it's then that i'm struck once again by the fact that i can only write to 60-compatible floppies if i'm running windows xp. at this point i'm pretty much over it all, but decide to keep looking.
so i browse through the bible and find this...
i went for it, and, omg, it worked, after using opaque tape to fool my comp into thinkin i was using DDS. so i popped the program and .snds i'd organized in MPC Editor over onto the floppy and ran back to my 60. i put it in, started loading the disk (which it finally recognized!). it loaded the .pgm file, and then, it got stuck on the first .snd file. and it stayed stuck. and then i got an error message:
This file cannot be loaded since it contains invalid data. (Error code: F500)
i've done everything i can think of doing, but i'm still lost. if anyone can help me out, it'd be a huge help. i really wanna get my baile funk program up and running!

Type "format a: /t:80 /n:9" (w/o quotes) into the the "Run" prompt in the Start menu. You get a little less storage space on the disc, but your 60 should be able to read it.
