dont have time to check out the video.... played with it yesterday, and i couldnt get it to lock up, however, this only happens when i decide to actually use the machine to do some real production when meeting a deadline. I get all kinds of bugs, im going to sync it up wit some MIDI again to see if it locks up then.

Don't have time to check out the video :?

Anyway....I turned on the 5000 and let it sit while I took wifey out for Yakiniku and had some drinks. I just came home to the 5K which is still on. I still have a little buzz from the Japanese beer. I tried what you have been writing in your last few posts. I was able to get the 5K to freeze/lock up. I turned it off and back on again. Now I can't get it to reproduce the problem.

Looks like your MPC doesn t like when you leave it alone to drink some beers Askia :D

I ll try to leave mine on standby for a long time to see if i can reproduce the bug.

Ok, i let mine on standby friday all day long from 12am to 6pm...

Came back home, recorded a sequence & did the same manipulations you saw on the video i posted

No way to get mine freeze ...

Maybe a bug releated to the optional memory ?

1. change tempo to 140
2. make a pattern of 4 bars long.
3. create two notes in step edit. both notes with a duration of two bars: 7680, so that the first i placed at 1.1.000 the second at 3.1.000
4. NOW save this pattern to external harddisc.
5. NOW load this pattern into the mpc.
6. and now the first note i set to a duration of 0.

-> this is very bad for me..

have a nize saturday night
dags

A few questions...

1. What do you mean by 'external harddisc'?
2. What OS are you currently using to produce this bug?
3. Are you really serious?

ARP bug on sequence 1 :

On sequence 1 Track 1 load a VA preset, put the Arp to 1/16 & record something

Go to song mode, add the sequence 1 to the song , press play

You ll notice the Arp go to 1/8 instead of 1/16

If you try the same thing on Sequence 2 it s works as it should.

Haven't zeroed in on specific lengths, folder/file sizes or things like that,

BUT

when you're previewing sounds --from my experience, using CD, HD, or CF-- and you hold play for too long, once you let it go, it will not stop. it will play the duration of the file and either freeze or finally allow you to move again.

and when i load up some drum folderrs from some CDs it takes FOREVERRRRRRRR to open. it eventually does and im fine, but god forbid you back out of the folder and have to go back in it at some point  :x

Press the stop button 3 times and this will stop stuck notes.
