I bought the axiom 49 for $220 brand new from moogaudio (a local music / mpc store here in montreal) and the owner was super chill because he never charges me tax.

the pads are not too bad, but not as good as the 3000 or 2000. however the axiom series is rugged. they are heavy, solid, and they are easy to set up.

i would get a microkorg instead then you don't need the computer and your whole setup can run off batteries

sorry that's not what you asked

axiom is better

used edirol is cheaper

25 keys is pretty small I would want at least 37.

cant wait to put it to use with Logic.

I love my Axiom as well, very solid piece, keys feel decent for something in that price range, more features than i will ever take advantage of.

25 keys might be too small though. Some people love the little 25 key midi controllers. Other people, like me, can't stand to even touch one. You can't really go wrong by getting a bigger board, unless you want it to be portable or you lack space.
