Hammond organ especially with wah and fuzz/distortion. Dave Sinclair, Jon Lord, and Mike Ratledge (mike actually rocked a lowrey holiday deluxe but still) come to mind

im a 60 head so i dont have efx other than a few tricks i have to do them myself

really back in the day i would sample crackles and static... still do from time to time and layer my drums with it very crunchy crispy sounding
also i am a sucker for shakers and bells!
