having problems with card reader!

So i buy a mpc 2500 off ebay expanded ram, jjos2 and comes wit some offbrand 2gb lexar compact flash. Put it in the mpc and the screen goes black when i try to push it all the way in. Try a sandisk 1.0gb compact flash that i bought from mpcstuff.com and put all my drum packs in wav on there. Still when i put the disk in the drive of my mpc2500 it goes blank. Tried to not push it in to far, screen stays on but the card will not load or nor does it show that there's anything on it. WTF is going on, do i gotta bad card drive or what. I seriously doubt it's the compact flash card. How do i fix this problem?

Take a peak inside the slot, look down at the rows of pins, see if any of them are bent, or pushed down flat.

damn yet two are bent...i guess i gotta get me another one or get a hard drive that'll be better and probably cheaper to replace right?

try bending the pins back into place very gently, so they don't snap off.
