2gb sandisk card freezes mpc1000e t

I have tried 2 different SanDisk 2gb memory cards and both seem to freeze my MPC1000. Any have any ideas? Please don't reply with a link to that 35-page thread because I read the entire thing and it's mostly people complaining about RAM. Thanks.

try a different brand or size. its been said that the mpc is a little finiky about the cards it likes.i use lexar platinum II cards with no problems. i also have a jam media card that works fine.

i have 2 sandisk (2gb and 128mb) and they both work .
maybe check if some of the pins of the card reader are bended or touching .
