Memory instal but not working!

Ok searching for an answer on the memory issue. So i go into sample mode and the memory reads 65388k without memory in it at all. Comments ?

The MPC2000XL has a MemChk function that checks the memory.

- Press "Shift" + "5 (Trim)"
- Press "Shift" + "F1 (Trim)"
- Press "MemChk"

I don't know if the 2000 has this or not.

Maybe you have the incorrect SIMM Type as SIMMS come in different configurations.
On many occasions the RAM amount i.e 16MB can be fine but the actual architecture of the SIMM is different and non compatible with specific hardware.

If you can not get the RAM installed buy some memory form an Akai specialists at least that way you will know for sure that it is the correct RAM and not your Memory slots.
