Well firstly, I want to get an MPC because, I have a Trigger Finger and Ableton Live 7 and I don't feel like I have enough control. I have a good amount of questions, if some one has the answers I would be very apreciative.
1. What equipment do I need. I don't want any key boards. I have turntables, and a sound card.
2. I have a question about slowing down samples. Lets say I have a sample and I want to slow it down but i don't know the original tempo, is their a way to slow it down without knowing the tempo and affecting the tempo of all the tracks.
3. Can I make the whole beat in the MPC. I know that sounds noobish but I mean sequencing all the bars and can I add fade and then render it.
4. Is it hard to use, before Getting Ableton, I use to use Acid pro and I loved it, it was very easy to use and it was very friendly user.
5. About sampling, for something that I would chop samples from throughout the whole song rather then just the intro or one part of the song, could I record the whole songs and chop pieces from it, or would it take up to much room. And how is the memory.
6. And one last questions, for the drums how would I know the tempo of a hi hat, cause i don't want t to sound off beat from the rest of the song.
Sorry for so many questions, I have been trouble finding something good to make beats for a while now, I love Ableton but I don't feel like I have enough control when it comes to chopping with the Drum Rack. Any help would be appreciated.
