Hey guys whats up? I came across a guy willing to sell me a working MPC2000xl for $450. It has the machine and the power cord included. Is this a good deal? Also, I want to sample using you 2 turntables and mixer and I want to feed this all to my computer (Cubase/Pro Tools) so I can use Reason with it. I also have 2 DJ PA speakers that I want to use as monitors and I want to be able to record what my friend spits with a mic. So is the $450 a good price and what additional equipment do I need to do what I want? Thanks :)

With a statement like that, I take that you've never used an mpc before. ??? Plus I get a kick outta reading what some of y'all think is an exceptable alternative to a mpc.

Although it's a no brainer to do this with the 2kxl (floppys, zips and or cardreader), it'll work better going about this with a newer model mpc that sports a usb connection.

Plus, I guess the reason many folks don't get the help around here they're looking for is because, many want you to not only teach them to fish, but they want you to do the fishing for them. :?
