MAUDIO MidiSport

i have logic express 8 and i bought the maudio midi sport cable to hook my mpc500 into my computer. the maudio cable came with an installation software for the drivers. do i need to install that cd even if im using logic express 8?

all you need to do is install the drivers. the other software is probably some demo version which is limited in it's usage.
aside from that, go to m-audio's website and look for the most recent drivers, since what's on the cd could be outdated.
