Ok, i have had my mpc for a few weeks and have been using a couple of mauals but i just need this clearing up.

If i do not name my samples when i have made an entire project if i save the project does that over write any samples with the same name (sample 01 etc)

basically i kkep making new projects and then go to save "entire memory" but when i come back to my projects the samples from other songs are on the wrong project.

I guess what i am basically asking is do i HAVE to name each individual sample, sequence and track if i want to save it. can i not just save more than one sample named "sample 01" sample 02" etc

any advice or feedback is appreciated

Why don't you create a folder for each project your working on.

ahh, i had looked into creating separate folders but wasnt what the need was. i guess thats why. so if i save my projects in separate folders then i wont save over any samples with the same names ?

thanks for the info
