Syncing my trigger finger with my mpc

you guys have any walkthrough or tutorials i can find? The search engine didnt help very much .

trigger finger out to midi in on mpc. thats pretty much it

look... if it was THAT simple... i wouldnt bother asking. I read the manual , it didnt answer my questions at all ..

there is further steps... i know.. ive been using the TF for 3 years now with Live so i can tell you this controller IS WAY too complex for a simple "Midi in / midi out et voila " procedure.

mode+pad9 and i doubt its more complex than my triton which is also pretty much plug and play. not tryin to be rude but i doubt anyone around here is going to walk you through assigning all your knobs and slider to functions. but the jj manual has it all in there.

yeah. i used a tf forever. its amazingly UNcomplex. you just gotta make sure you've got the right channel selected on the tf and mpc.

incidentally, you're also gonna have to map your pads on the tf to the mappings of the mpc internally. the mpc pads are not mapped chromatically. there may be a factory preset for "general midi" in the tf already. you oughtta use that. if not its on to enigma. but either way its an easy fix. of course why you would use a trigger finger with the mpc begs a few questions on its own that i won't ask.

1. i have a preference for the tf pad response...
2. they are also bigger..
3. the trigger finger alone cost 150$ .. which is less than buying always-backorder-new-pads for my mpc
4. so i don't really care if i smash my tf too hard in a live situation with my band...
5. i'M less worried about missing a drum hit again in a live situation ( see #2 for deeper explanations )

damn it's just not working... maybe it has something to do with my midi cables... but 2 broken in a row? ...

i get a midi response when i hook up my TF with my m-audio 410 via an usb cable, using Live ... but nothing seems to happen when i use midi cables..

i really did check everything, but i won't give up.

you're gonna have to get very familiar with the tf manual. using hardware midi to midi is a very different beast then just plugging into ableton (which actually recognizes the tf). i gaurantee you it will work. make sure you've got the right settings on the mpc too.
