I deleted all my samples and i still can't save new ones. How do i clear my RAM

Your right that is a stupid question. I'm not even sure you know what you mean. Did you delete the samples from your CF card or the 500's ram?

im assuming i deleted them from the card because if they were deleted from ram id be able to save new ones.

do you know how to delete from ram

RAM get's deleted every time you shut it off... you can clear it by purging unused etc. for example tho. i dont quite understand the question either tbh.

im tryin to copy a sample but i get insufficient memory when i try. I deleted all the old samples im not using from the card but i still had "insufficient memory". im gonna try purging unused tho, i never tried that

does purge unused. delete all the samples currently assigned to a pad? or what?

the other way around.. it clears all samples NOT assigned to a program

One way to easily get ram empty is to set the autoload function off, then the mpc won't load the demo sequences and samples when turning the mpc on.

Mode + PAD2, then put the cursor where u can change what do you load (sample, program etc), scroll all the way to the right via datawheel. There youll find the autoload, set it off. shut down the mpc, turn on the mpc.

I was a bit frustrated and I didnt at first find how to disable the autoload.

Don't know if this is your issue but hopefully this helps.
