free mpc!

now that i have you looking.
i am having trouble loading samples onto my mpc; they load fine however when they're on the mpc they play in fast foward? has anyone had this problem and can advise me?

(i have searched and couldnt find anything)

did you sample into the mpc, or are you bringing them off a computer as files and putting them straight to memory card and loading?

could it be the wrong sample rate?

i am loading them from my computer.. but i never had this problem in the past??
using tune on the slider doesnt slow the sample down enough to the correct speed...

its probably a sample rate difference. resample your joints in the pc to 44k. they are probably 48k or 96k. i work with a couple different apps on the pc and with audition i run at 48k. when i chop in acid. (which is rare that i chop on the pc) i do it at 44k. but some times i load a file from audition directly into acid and i have to resample it first so that it doesnt sound like the chipmunks.

sorry to annoy you with noob questions; but how do i go about changing the sample rate if i am simply downloading them off the net then uploading them onto the mpc?

There is freeware that you can use to convert your samples to the correct sample rate. I'm sure there are others but a common one is 'Audacity', do a google search and download it. Should get ya goin man.

i already had audacity, just abandoned it since samples come out massively over sized or terrible quality. but yeah thats not the point.
