Ok, so i just got my 5000 yesterday, I got my CF card from work today and im about to upgrade the OS but when I go to save everything I cant figure out how to move the files in the ROM folder to my computer to backup. So if I update my OS are the ROM files affected cause when I hit [F2] Save Button there is no ROM button to EDIT > COPY > MOVE or w/e. I dont want to lose my synth presets and all the AKAI sounds... so can anyone let me know whats up?

Updating the OS will not erase your presets. Enjoy the 5000! I know I am. If they add the features we have listed on the forums. This will be THE machine to have.

Diegoeskryptic,

I use diferent brands and types of CF cards and they all work perfectly. I have four with different storage capacity each.

Here is a reference of one of them:

Check in your local stores.

I previously created a topic for CF cards compatibility & some claimed they were able to use 4 gb CF cards on the MPC
