has anyone fixed thier mpc 2500 pads with success????!!!

so my mpc is doing the thing where one pad will start triggering another all the time... it effects pretty much all the pads... all the time... it really is terrible, it renders the mp usless. I have reset the machine. I have taken it apart and readjusted the pads... it wont stop happening.

has anyone found a permanent fix? is vst replacing the pad sensors my only option?

please if you have any knowledge of how to fix this post up before i lose my mind

I can tell you I have this problem when I have left my machine on for a long periods of time, but its not everytime, mine happens randomly and I know exactly wht problem you are talking about...
I can almost FEEEL when its about to happen, usually it coincides with the 16 pad fucntion locking up one way or another, either unable to get out of or into. Thats usually the harbinger of doom.
At that point I save w/e I am working on and shut down. NOW after leaving it alone for about 30 minutes (which kills work flow) it will tend to be ok.
Akia just released a new upgrade but Im not sure if it addresses this problem, your not alone I have been searching this forum for a solution since I got my 2500 and it started this crap. I have yet to find one anywhere.
I sent mine back while the warranty was still good but it only fixed the problem temporarily.

this is a reoccurring issue in the 2500. the cause could be a couple reasons, but the main one is because your input threshold is too low for the sensitivity of a potentially overly sensitive pressure sensor.
use jjos2 to increase the note on threshold, this will kill those ghost notes.
otherwise you have no control over your pads' note on thresholds.

Hey just an idea but my mpc used to trigger other pads so i did everything to try and fix it but then i found out that i had my mpc hooked up to my soundcard with coaxial digi leads and my sound card was set to a different sample rate
eg: mpc 16 bit 44.1k - sound card 16 bit 48k.
I dont know why but it freaks the mpc out the higher the sample rate the worse it gets.
If you have you mpc hooked via digi check you sample rate! Godd Luck!
