To assign samples to different keys:
1. Sample a sound, when you have sampled it asks you to play the root key.
2.Go to Edit>Pitch, and scroll right until you find the section where you set the key range. Set the lowest and highest key that you want that sample spread across. Could be only one key if you want.
3.Sample the next sound and pick the same instrument, same layer but for wavesample it should say new. Sample the sound and play the root key again.
3.Go to edit>pitch, and assign this sample a different key range just like before.
To chop
1.Sample a sound like above.
2.Copy it as many times as you want assigning each copy to it's own key.
3.Go to edit>wave for each copy and set the Start and End points so that key only plays the chop you want it to.
That's the only way I could figure out...
