When im programming my kicks and snares I need to use the "full level" mode because in order for the velocity to be high enough I really have to slam on the pads. Is there any way to make the pads not as sensitive? I mean its not really that much of a problem but it would be nice to have a little bit more of a live feel to my kicks and snares and not have them all hit at the exact same velocity.... I can do the hi hats and everything else with the full level OFF but the kicks and the snares I cant...

I have this problem too. The pads on the 3000 are mad stiff - I saw something in one of the stickies where a guy was saying he took off the top and the rubber pads and got q tips and cleaner and cleaned everything out. I'm gonna give that a try sooner or later. I think you probably already know this but on the main screen you can turn up the velociy all the way to 200% and that will make the pads respond a lot more strongly. The pads work very well if you hold the note repeat button and vary the pressure on the pads as well - good for high hats.

That's all i got - hope it helps.... PEACE!

I had the same problem a few months ago where I came from the 2xl and found the 3k pads mad stiff.

I thought it was just the way the 3000 pads were until I bought some new pads online switched them out and now its not a problem, they feel great!. I went the dollar route but I'm sure if you simply clean them really good it'll ease the problem, if not just replace them. 3000's are getting old and if the pads haven't been cleaned or replaced since their build date, its probably about that time.

One last thing - watch when you take your pads out....there's a lot of stuff you have to get through on the 3000 before you get to those pads.
