Hey all,
Need some help.. can't figure it out from the manual. Is it possible to hit a pad once to start a sample looping and then hit it again to make it stop. So far I can only get them to loop with the "note on" and holding down the pad. I will need to trigger other samples "one hit" style at the same time.
Do I need to record a sequence and then play along to that? My mate mentioned doing it with envelope settings (release all the way up) but I can't find that either...
Help!!
Cheers

akai os 2.11:
turn your sample to a patch phrase.
turn loop on
assign to a pad (e.g. pad 1)
assign another pad to mute the first pad (e.g.pad 2 mutes pad 1)
pad 1 will loop until you hit pad 2

I want JJ to include this patch phrase loop feature in his os. Its one of two tiny things i miss in comparison to all the better stuff we gain.

Thanks for that
I found the JJOS trick with hitting the pad and the numeric key at the same time.. works but a bit tricky for live
I reckon i might try the akai software... i'm only using the mpc for live triggering samples.. so maybe it'll be OK
Cheers

I dont use the akai os, so i dont know about its current stability. I loaded up the 2.11 just to see what the patch phrase loop was like that i described earlier.
Itd be nice for JJ to include it but its a tiny, tiny thing in comparison to all the other JJ refinements.
JJos is 1000 times better where it really counts, workflow and reliable saving.
