def ^^^^^^said. but its hard to tell when ur buying online. I got lucky and got one for only $300 w/scsi installed, spent another 50 on a zip drive. bout 6 months ago it fried out after 8 months, sucked cause I ened up paying $250 to get it fixed. But its worked better actually since I've gotten it fixed. just plan on having to invest some cash to fix it up @ some point, cause it is older gear.

thanks all, i think i shall stick with my personal rules and not buy unless i am in a position to evaluate first. info much appreciated for when the time comes.

You know you are going to get a legit one, you will probably pay more but it's your best bet. I pride myself on how cheap i got mine but at the time, i didn't know i would love it to death. Mine is fine so i have no regrets but if/when mine breaks, i'm going there.

yeah they're prices are decent and that place does repairs so I'm sure they're in good shape.

So the di-10 will just mask the desirable sound signature it's known for?
