I have theese stuffs:
Novation Nio 2 / 4 interface, 1 midi in, 1 midi out. 1 audio in, 2 audio out + usb connection
M Audio Keystation 49e, Midi out + usb connection
MPC 1000, 2 midi in, 2 midi out. 1 record in, 1 digital out.
I have theese cables:
2x left/right audio cables.
2x midi cables
Is it possible getting it to work with theese connections?
What cables do I need and how many do I need? Do I need a monitor (going to buy Yamaha HS80 in a week)? If so how should I connect to my monitor?
The only connections I have left on my interface is 1 left/right audio output and 1 midi output. Is that enought or do I have to buy an extra interface? If so, how many in/outs should I think off (only going to buy a mixer + monitors)
I hope I've told enough so you can help me with my info, it would be very appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Connect the midi out of your interface to midi in 1 of the MPC. Then connect the midi out A of you MPC to the midi in on the interface. Then follow the rest of the set up in Reason as shown in the vid. You don't need monitors, but when you get them, connect the left/right audio outs to them.
So I should not connect the midi out of my controller to the midi in of mpc?
Its just a lil' confusing cuz i have JJ OS 1 and the main screen on the mpc is different than mine. But i'll give it some hours and test.
EDIT: One more question. Should the sync option in Reason be internal or midi clock?
EDIT2: I can hear my midi sounds in Record Mode on the mpc, but not if im on the main screen. Can I fix this or it the way it should be? And when I play my beat made on the MPC and play on my controller, the MPC beat is so much louder. I have the output turned on to max on my interface. But when i decrease the volume on the MPC, both the midi sounds and the mpc beat decreases.
(Im all new to this, maybe my questions are newbie, but I do the best I can.)
(I use reason 4)
Thanks for your answer.
