Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By Mr_Gordon Fri Oct 17, 2008 5:10 pm
I just got an MPC2000XL/MCDKit and Im trying to make my own drums kits from samples(WAV) off my HD.Ill pop the CF card in my PC and start moving samples from my HD to the CF card, then ill take the CF card out and put it in the MPC,then ill load the samples iv selected to the MPC ,but the MPC only reads like 80% of the samples. It wont read any of the samples from Battery 3.These same samples open in FLS8.

How do I get the Battery 3 samples to load in the MPC2000XL?Do I have to resave my Battery3 samples to different file names or something? If so,what do I use to do this?

I also tried the MPC KIT Creator V.3 and I think it sucks,it wont even play back alot of my samples, these same WAV samples play back in FLS8.

Im on XP ,Im using 1 GB CF cards,OS on the MPC2000XL V.1.20.

Thanks. :D

make sure you're using 16 bit, 44 khz samples.

Could you recommend a good/fast way of changing them over to 16 bit/44 khz?

Thanks.

well, i guess an audio editor with built-in batch processing function is your weapon of choice here. i would recommend soundforge or wavelab.

edit: also you can try audacity, it's free audio editor, but i'm not sure if it has batch processing - audacity.sourceforge.net

Save wav as.

find a wave editor.

44/16.
