NOTE REPEAT BROKE?

My tap tempo on my 2000xl works fine but I can't seem to get the note repeat to work at all. Any suggestions?

silly question - you aren't trying to use the note repeat with the grid turned off?

Worse question... What exactly do you mean by grid? The quantize function? Like the 1/8, 1/16?

yep.

make sure your in play mode. it doesnt work if the sequence is not playing.

Yeah. I have the quantize function on and if play mode means I have it playing then yes, I have done that. I guess I might try to re-install the OS. Thanks for your help guys. Any more suggestions?

Dr. BumpinGruvin says ... "if the tap tempo works then most likely the note repeat should work ..
be sure your timing is set to 1/8 or better ... hit play and hold down a pad (BE SURE THERE IS A SOUND LOADED
ONTO THE PAD)... it will repeat, if there is a sound loaded, and timing is on, and the mpc2000xl is playing/or recording. the note(and/or sound) should repeat or trigger continuously."

the good Dr. also says " if you have problems after completeing all the steps prescribed post to this thread .. as there may be a more complex problem
with your MPC, and it may be in need of repair! or an update."
