Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By mista_illas Tue Oct 21, 2008 12:53 am
Hi
I am a turntablist that plays in a hip hop group with my MPC 2000XL and mostly use it for backing track with a midi click for my drummer. In order to use the pads live, i have found to be difficult. If I wanted to build up a sample live that said for example "HEY", how would i make it say "H, H ,H ,H ,H" rather than just overlap the same sample when pressed on the pads. I understand when you tap the pads in trim mode you can get this result, but what about live, within a sequence?
Please help a brother out my akai people

programs > params > note overlap. Set this to mono or note off and you're good to go.

Ps this is a pretty basic question, you need to get down and at least read the getting started chapter of the manual dude and you will be suprised how many little things jump out at you!

peace

hope the next gig goes great man!

At least you acknowledge it, when others just get mad and hate to be recommended to read.
