mpc 1000 with m-box

how do u hook up your mpc to your m box in order for me to record my beats to pro tools (without having that humming sound.)

Get some balanced trs cables , since the m-box only has 2 inputs just hook 2 outputs from the mpc to the m-box. Set pro tools as the master and the MPC as the slave. The M-box has no midi plugs on it. So you will need a midi interface to synch them together perfectly. Plug he MPC to the midi interface with midi cables. Set the MPC to receive midi time code(MTC) and set protools to recieve midi time code.Now if you have it set up correctly when you press play on pro tools the MPC will play. Remember the m-box oly has two inputs so you will have to mute all but two tracks on the mpc to record at a time.

My bad, set pro tools to send (MTC).

Caution.. the MPC1000 needs MIDI Clock + SPP, it doesn't recognize MIDI Time Code (MTC)..!
