Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

So Ive made a sequence or two and have saved it to a floopy disk, loaded the said sequence back on the machine, but when i press play absolutely no sound comes out! . Like I said, the disk indicates that I saved it on the machine by coming up as whatever i named it but when i press play, no sound.

I think my drive is suspect because it makes this funny ticking sound when I load a new disk other then the start up disk, but at the same time it loads startup disk with out a problem.

HELP

I have a classic 2000 just as a point of reference

while in disk mode, under the LOAD tab, I have the View field on View: All Files. Then under File its indicating: ALL SEQ_SONG1 .ALL.

I press DO IT and its telling me that if I load it will replace all existing sequences & songs...I press LOAD...(I assume its loading)

I then go back to MAIN SCREEN and and the Sq: field is indicating Sequence 02 (the sequence I saved)

I press play and I get nothing.

just because you saved your sequence doesnt meen you saved your program. which just happens to contain your samples. if you dont save the program then you cant reload the program. im sure your seq is playing just fine. but its playing nothing. load something onto the pads and those sounds will play.
this is mpc101 dude. learn the basics
