Whole and 2nd, 3rd velocity layer

I know I can use "whole" to select all drum pads when in Mode/Program.

As far as I can see, this will always select the first velocity layer.
Is there a way to use "whole" and select whole in 2nd and 3rd velocity layer?

WHOLE in os2 is for the top layer value only. this is kind of a bummer but i make do.

An obvious feature request for the future I guess.

While kind of on the same subject here, does anyone know a shortcut for laying the samples across the pads in order without creating a new program of sliced samples. Let's say I've made three long samples from different parts of a song and chopped them all up into 8 or 12 chops each. I don't want to skip around my new programs, just want one where all my samples are on the same mute group. just a shot in the dark but I've been trying to squeeze as much saved time into my workflow.

i assume your using os2?
if so have you tried using the undo seq in program mode? you can copy samples or parameters across pads really quickly.

say you have loads of samples in memory, but you want to paste some newly chopped samples into an existing program

step 1: enter pgm mode
2.hit a blank pad
3. assign newchop-1 to that pad in the usual way with the data wheel.
4.use the undo seq key to copy newchop-1 to other blank pads.
5.on these copied pads change newchop-1 to newchop-2,-3 etc in the usual way.

this saves you scrolling through the sample list all the time.

man i miss the whole button for the layers though.

That sounds like exactly what I'm trying to do Mikolo, thanks- but I don't see any key called "undo seq" even though it sounds very familiar. I'm running OS2 1.18 I think, but on a 2500. Oops, this is the 1000 forum. Sorry, damn, they're so similar. I wonder if this is only featured on the 1000?

i think it just says "undo" on the 2500.

this and the trim pgm mode option are really handy features for program building.
