Service manual

When on earth can I get a service manual for the MPC 2000, not XL although the parts I'm looking for details on (the fader, power switch & one of the cursor buttons) will probably be the same on the XL. Alternatively if anyone knows where I can source these parts in the UK that'd be cool. The fader is technically a 60mm potentiometer and the rating print reads "916K-10KBx2" the "x" being a multiply symbol. The cursor button should be easy enough to get. The power switch is an SDDF switch with a TV-8 rating and, maybe more importantly, I need the cover for the switch. A lot of Jibberish but any help appreciated.[/b][/i]

The service manuals will only state the part numbers that Akai uses so they do not provide any insight into sourcing them from a 3rd party.

You could try getting them directly from Akai (I usually do) or getting them from a service center.

Yeah I thought it may be the case. Do you know any contacts in Europe, UK preferably. I spoke to a guy at Arbiter in the UK who took over AKAI over here just recently but he wasn't too reassuring.

I need a service manual for the 2KXL - any ideas?

I always like to have aservice manual for any bit of gear that I rely on but I find them very hard to get.

Right now I'm looking for a service manual for an MPC60 II and the 2KXL. A schematic and parts list would be ideal also.

Does anyone have or know where I can get these. I don't want some dodgy downloaded schematic - I want the genuine Akai article (or a bona fide scan of them).
