mpc 1000 or 2500

man im having a headache trying to decide what to get either a mpc 1000 or the 2500
i like the size and portability of the 1000 but the 2500 looks like a beast, like i feel like the BOSS sitting next to it lol
but i like the fact that if i get a cd tray i have export my wav files right from the box without any computer,because i want to get rid of my computer and work with the 2500 because it seems complete or should i just stick with the 1000 and my computer! i like the 1000 i just know how small or big it is, some say its small but pictures cant really tell too much i dont want it to be like the mpc 500!

if u get the 1000 and install the jjos, u basically have the 2500 minus the tilt screen. i have a 1000 but i like using the computer when im done to add any last minute effects and to master and polish everything . the 1000 is 13 inchs left to right , 8.5 from front to back and 2.75 inchs from top of the table up..its a nice portable size . its damn near the same size as an old school laptop . the 1000 is a beast in it own right.

um if i use that on midi on the mpc can i play my sounds while recording and actually hear it through my speakers that are plugged into the mpc or do i need some kind of a mixer

any mpc mastering isnt goin to be PERFECT cuz it isnt a "mastering machine" ..its a "sampler" and far as the recording into it . i just build the track in the mp then dump it in my daw of choice and add any elements i need there, so i dont record into it. thats a question for someone else , sorry

they're the same machine. the cd rom is best used for importing sounds into the mp. a portable cd player could do that. i mean, just try to be critical of the real differences between the machines, but if you have the money and you really want the 2500 do it. i switched from a 1k to 2500. basically because i wanted to. i cant say one bad thing about the 1k. but i can't say i'm disappointed w/ a tilt screen and bigger pads, although i don't see them as essential. but to be honest, my screen is super tilted so i'm taking full advantage of it, haha.
